Sparkplug Privacy Policy — last updated 2026-10-09
This policy explains what the Sparkplug app does with the information you put into it. It's short because the app doesn't do much with it.
Your data stays on your phone. Everything you create in Sparkplug — focuses, routines, sessions, alarms, settings — is stored in a database on your device. It isn't transferred to our servers, because we don't have any. We just have the static website you're reading right now. Deleting the app deletes your data (aside from any manual backups you've created). We'll eventually have servers and fancy stuff, but not yet.
Usage analytics. Sparkplug sends anonymous usage events to PostHog (for example, "a focus session was started") along with device model, OS version, app version and language, identified by a random per-install id. Events never include the names of your focuses or anything else you type. IP addresses are not stored. This data is processed in the United States.
Crash and performance reports. If the app crashes or runs slowly, a report goes to Sentry with the technical details needed to fix it — stack traces, device model, OS version, app version and a random install id. Reports don't include your focuses or routines. This data is processed in the United States.
Sparkplug has no advertising, does not track you across other apps or websites, and never sells or shares your information for marketing.
Children. Sparkplug isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights. Analytics and crash data are held by PostHog and Sentry for diagnostics and are not tied to your identity. If you'd like anything deleted, or have questions, email help@gethabitat.app. If you're in the EU, UK or California, you can exercise your rights under GDPR or CCPA by writing to the same address. We don't collect any identifiable information though, so ... it will be hard to delete what we don't have.
Changes. If this policy changes, the date at the top changes, and the current version is always at gethabitat.app/privacy.
